The Nek Chand Foundation was started by Anton "Tony" Rajer to increase awareness of the rock garden through the volunteer artists' program and other special activities.
As a non-profit foundation, it can conduct activities that would not be possible through the government of India.
Tony Rajer died unexpectedly in 2011. His wife, Chris Styles, is currently the interim head of the foundation, and will be leading the artists' volunteer program for 2013.
